Paint the Town Purple and Gold
Thursday, August 15
 
Please join us for our first annual Paint the Town Purple and Gold to help welcome students back to school for the 2019-2020 school year on Thursday, August 15 . We would like to make the trip on the first day of school extra special this year for our incoming Indians.
We love it when community members, parents, and staff members come up with ideas to help foster excitement in education for our students. This idea comes from our very own preschool teacher, Victoria Smith.
Help us to line the streets and roads leading to the school with motivational signs supporting all students for the upcoming school year. Many students already know that their parents and teachers support and value the importance of education, but let's join together in showing them that the community supports their educational experience as well.

Note: Please place signs the evening of August 14th so they will be viewable for students riding an early morning bus to school. Please remove signs by Saturday, August 17th. When placing your sign keep in mind traffic's view of the roads and sidewalks. When thinking of slogans for signs please keep in mind that we want to make all students feel successful and included.

Our school photography company is Inter-State Studio out of Sedalia. They give parents the opportunity to sign up for email reminders of upcoming photo days. Never miss a picture day! Notification emails for our school continues year-to-year, giving you the first notice of any upcoming picture days.

This year we've made some special Hallsville School District signs for students in PreK-12 and their younger siblings to hold while taking their picture on the first day of school.

We can't wait to see all of those smiling faces ready for the 2019-2020 school year, so make sure to share your first day of school photos using #B2SIndians!
Bus Routes
Now Available!
 
Bus routes are now available on the district's web page!
The pick-up times listed are approximate and may vary up to fifteen minutes either way, especially on the first few days. Please have students ready early and at the stop. Some bus routes may need to be changed slightly after new students are entered and attending. Please check the website for any changes.
Main Campus doors open at 7:40 and classes run from 8:00 to 3:15. The front drive entrance is closed from 7:30 to 7:50 and 3:05 to 3:25 for bus arrivals. Parents drop-offs and pick-ups are in the back of the Intermediate and High School.
Primary School doors open at 7:45 and classes run from 8:10 to 3:20. Parent drop-offs and pick-ups are in front. Preschool (ECSE) runs from 8:10 to 11:10 and 12:20 to 3:20. Parent drop-offs and pick-ups are in front.
Student riders at specific locations using the H buses will be notified of times individually.

School meal information is available on the District website under Parent Resources.
In addition to seeing the menus (which you can also see on the Hallsville App), you can also download the Free and Reduced Lunch form. Forms will also be available at school and can be returned to your child’s building secretary.
2019-2020 Meal Prices: 
Breakfast $1.25, Reduced Price $.30
Lunch $2.15, Reduced Price $.40.
Please make sure your child(ren) has money in their account to make purchases. To take the worry away from your child and make sure there is money in their meal account, you can monitor your child's balances online through the SISK12 parent portal or the Tyler SIS Student360 app. Payments are accepted at school, as well as through www.mySchoolBucks.com.

Middle School Fall Sports
Information 
1. All athletes must have a current pre-participation physical exam form, proof of
insurance, and parental permission form turned in before participating in their
first practice.
2. All athletes must participate in 14 days of practice before being eligible to participate in any competition.
3. Team try-outs will begin on Monday, August 19 from 3:30-5:30 PM in the
following locations:
  • MS Football will be at the practice field next to the Primary school below the softball field.
  • MS Softball will practice on the baseball field.
  • MS Volleyball will practice in the North Gym.
4. Season schedules for practice & games will be released at the first practice. The MS teams should plan on practicing Monday – Friday during the season right after school.

Monday, August 19
The monthly Board of Education meeting will be held on Monday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m., room 712 at the High School. The meeting agenda is available on the website.
